I first came across Sissel when I was living in Shanghai teaching English. I'm British and I moved to Shanghai several years ago with my American boyfriend at the time (now husband) so that we could live together and give our relationship a shot. We visited Seoul during the first Lunar New Year after moving to China and loved it so much that a few years later we decided to try and get teaching jobs in South Korea. While doing research, I found one of Sissel's old apartment tour Videos and fell in love with the channel. We never ended up moving to Seoul as Covid struck, and I moved to the US instead and married my husband. But I still watch Sissel every week and dream about returning for our honeymoon. I discovered Sissel through her vlogs when I was researching about what resources I needed to move to Korea, what visa, how much money, etc. Luckily I found one of her vlogs explaining every single piece of information I needed, and she explained everything so well and I instantly subscribed to her channel. Right after watching that first video, I binged all of her other ones and just completely fell in love with her way of expressing herself with her videos. I have learnt so much from her weekly vlogs and I love that I have been able to watch her grow, not only as a person, but as a professional.
