Korean facial mask sheets are the IT items sweeping the globe and most rightly so given that they are fun, easy to use, affordable and most importantly effective! In fact, they are so highly regarded that they have sparked an 1일 1팩 (i.e. one day, one mask) trend in South Korea and celebrities swear by this regimen. And it’s not just them; Hollywood has eagerly jumped on this bandwagon with many A-listers such as Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Adele etc. posing with these masks on. Most recently, people have decided to take this even further and coin the term and regimen #teamdoublefisting (no lie!). Contrary to its rather frightening name, it simply means two masks a day! And rumor has it, the effects are ​worth the time and effort!

What are they?

Facial mask sheets are simply face shaped sheets soaked in a serum with a range of ingredients. These vary depending on what they are used for e.g. anti-aging, brightening, revitalizing, firming, soothing, moisturizing and others. What’s more, they come in different shapes and sizes, those that foam, look like a panda, cat, tiger you name it! There is a huge (and I mean huge) variety of products out there, produced by different brands and filled with an array of ingredients. But, this all just adds to the fun of it, trying and experimenting with different products and changing what you use depending on your current skin type and mood.
