So this is my second purchase of this toner. It was the first toner I ever bought when I began understanding skincare last year and I felt it made a significant difference in my skin appearance overall. I am naturally tan and have oily/combo skin with large pores. This toner in combination with a few other products made my skin much brighter and more radiant overall. Since I got to a new baseline there’s been less of a dramatic difference for me the second time around, but it’s still a decent toner. Very watery, fragrance and alcohol free, no irritation. I think it’s a good purchase if you can get it at $20 USD and under. Otherwise there’s probably equivalent products that will get the same result for less.

I've heard so many good things about this essence of Missha's, especially it being an alternative to other more expensive essences. The bottle is in an oval shape and opaque, and judging the size of the bottle I think it'll last me about up to a year. The opening also has a plastic stopper to prevent leakage. The essence has no fragrance and is watery but leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

I see why so many people continue to buy and use this. After using for a few months, I can tell the skin on my face has drastically improved. brighter and lighter skin tone as well as pore size has minimized. Fine lines has improved.

I have heard many amazing things about this essence, and it lived up to the legends. My skin feels amazingly clean, my pores shrink a little, this essence is like the well-loved auntie in the family who brings food that everyone likes to the potluck and never misses. Except, if your skin reacts to niacinamide (this has trace amounts). Enjoy my holy grail product!

Didn't seem like anything special and even though so many rave about it, it literally felt like water on my face.

I have been using this on and off once I finally got it after it being raved about and I really didn’t see it doing anything for me.  It was nicely hydrating. I wore it for a few months on and off and some days, it’d be too much for my skin that I would end up breaking out in a small area of my face and I’d just stop using it. I’m not sure if it was too hydrating for my skin with the rest of my skincare but sometimes I’d only use like my cleanser, toner, essence, and then my moisturizer for night and I’d still happen to feel and look very oily when I wake up and with a new pimple from time to time. I stopped and I didn’t notice a difference in my skin much, maybe it being a little less hydrating but I didn’t miss using it. Surprisingly, dare I say I actually liked E.L.F. Hydrating essence more than this? Very basic, but didn’t break me out and I’ve repurchased it a couple of times before. I can see why it’s popular but it just didn’t work for me
