I always worry about vitamin c products — especially ones with ascorbic acid — getting oxidized in transit, so I was glad to see that it was sealed with flat, screw-on lid and the dropper packaged separately, so when I opened it the serum was perfectly clear and fresh, with a lovely scent.
I’m concerned that it’s water-based, since LAA is known to be more stable in anhydrous solutions. I’m going to keep it in the fridge and cross my fingers. I also am not thrilled that it has alcohol in it and wish I had noticed beforehand.
I’ve already been using a different 20% LAA product, so it hasn’t been too harsh for me so far, but it’s good to be careful with vitamin C. I’ll be interested to see if the additional ingredients, such as zinc, niacinamide, beta-glucan, and ubiquinone make a difference to the effects over time.
