The Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence is a water-type essence that deeply hydrates and brightens skin tone. Very lightweight on the skin. The essence is basically a fancy witch hazel. I can't really get into this one, but it's a nice toner. I feel like skincare has gotten a little off the rails designation between toners and "essences". It wasn't as moisturizer as I would have hoped, but would make a good base for the rest of your skincare routine (serums, moisturizer)

This watery essence provides hydration and nutrition at the same time. Some people with combination skin often feel dryness from inside even though the skin surface looks pretty good or even oily. Wearing 2-3 layers of this kind of water essence replenish moisture deep inside the skin and keeps my skin hydrated even longer. This starting essence contains Galactomyces, which is effective at brightening dull skin. This would be a good one to have in both morning and night routine as it contains good ingredients that strengthening skin healthiness. I recommend a patch test as it has some fermented ingredients.

Love the secret key first treatment. I have tried a few but I like this one the best. I have dry skin so this starts my morning and evening skincare with a hydrating punch that pulls the remaking products into my skin. Highly recommend.

Wasn't able to try the whole experience of using the bottle because it is so fragile. Mine accidentally slipped on my hands, and despite the very short height it fell, it was still broken. Good thing i have a small amount left, so i transferred it to a plastic spraying bottle, just to try it. But I can't really see any results.

I have tried several FTEs with fermented ingredients over the last year or so that I started my k-beauty routine, and I kept being disappointed by not seeing the glow that so many people talk about. I bought this as a dupe for SKII. I really love this product. I like that it feels luxurious but is very affordable; I use this at night and in the AM after washing my face. It always feels so refreshing to put on. I always look forward to using this product. I've purchased this 2 times, now.

I’ve used the secret key starting essence sheet masks and it’s definitely a better option to buy the essence bottle!! Great for when my skin gets fine lines from dehydration (easy to happen, I live in the desert). I use this right after face washing then continue as normal with whatever I usually use, definitely recommend if you feel like you need a hydration boost or looking for an SK II alternative.

The worst product in the world!!!! My skin was flawless and this product ruined my skin, it break me out so bad and gave me sever acne and hyperpigmentation!! I purchased this item 5 months ago and my skin couldn't recover from this disaster until this day!!! Don't purchase this item

I bought this based off of claims that this is a dupe for SKII. I am pleased with the price of this product and the quality is wonderful. I can tell that my skin has changed for the better after using this product; my redness and discoloration has calmed down and changed for the better!

I tried a bunch of first essence treatments, and this by far is the best one that compares to SK II. It has Arbin in it, which will brighten your skin as well as all of the ferment ingredients. It goes so nicely and instantly brightens your skin, and also provides hydration and support for your next products you put on

I think the Time Revolution Essence is better than this. This product feels thinner and less hydrating... but it is a lot cheaper, so that's probably why. I think it's still a decent budget alternative!

Not bad actually! But unless you’re very sensitive to the galactomyse ingredient, should be ok. I am super sensitive skin with scene and psoriasis, it was okay but when sunlight hit my skin although I had sunscreen on, will feel a little tingly.
