It’s “pulp rayon,” not traditional cotton, so the feel takes a bit of getting used to, but I like using it with thinner products and doing a bit of light “squishing” on my skin as if I were patting a sponge. Thicker products don’t soak in as well, which might be good for some things/people since it’s not getting trapped in the pad and will go straight onto the face. Similarly, I don’t really like using them with oil cleansers/makeup-removing balms.
It won’t completely replace the cotton pads that I already use, but I would rebuy them since they’re inexpensive and it’s easy to stack them for more thickness if needed. That way, I can save up my usual pads for the products that I *know* need the stronger, more fibery cotton texture (such as serums and ampoules), using these for toners, thinner essences, and even things like disinfectants for small objects or wound cleaners.
