The first application of this was amazing, I love the rosemary scent and the creamy texture that dried down to a more matte finish. I also noticed a tone-up like effect that evened out my skin tone and hid my redness. As promised, there was a minimal white cast that did seem to fade. However, after my third reapplication, the white cast didn’t seem to be subsiding and became more apparent with the following reapplications. I will say that since I am slightly more on the tanned side, the white cast is probably more noticeable on my skin, and fairer skin tones may not have this problem.
The saving grace of this sun cream is how well it works on damaged, raw skin. Unlike chemical sunscreens that can feel too harsh and sting, this sun cream loved and nourished my skin barrier to give me less red and irritated skin.
So, while I won’t be using this sunscreen out and about, I will definitely be using it when I stay home to repair my skin while also being cautious of the sun.
