I've been using this product a few times a week since early December. previously I'd been using 2% retinol but it wasn't doing much for my skin, and I honestly didn't expect this oil to be much different but it surprised me! it soothes my acne breakouts, smoothes the texture, and makes my skin glowy. I really like this oil but note that it must be refrigerated after opening to maintain stability. It is a slightly thick but silky yellowish colored oil with no noticeable scent. It just sinks into my skin without any greasy feel, and absorbs quickly into my skin. It doesn’t irritate my skin and it absorbs quickly after applying so I can easily layer with other products. I recommend this for more experienced retinol users only.

I'm now in my mid to late 20's, so I figured I should start incorporating retinol into my routine. Considering it is my first time using retinol, it did not cause any irritation to my skin. I love facial oils. But since I have too many products to try at once I had my mom (64 y/o) try it. She has only been using OLay retinol products so this is a new brand and type of product to test out. She’s not a fan skin care oil products. She uses it before she applies her Olay moisturizer. She has only been using it for a couple of days at night time. She has not seen any significant changes. I will try it out after her.

It is my first time using an oil retinol, I use tret occasionally but want to try something gentler. I love Corsx brand and tried several different products and the main thing with it - you should carefully follow the instructions. Dont overdo, especially with retinol, its better to start lightly and do a test on a small patch of skin first. I like this Retinol oil, but when applied incorrectly ( read - on the skin that wasn't prepared/ moisturized well first) it can cause dryiness or&acne outbreaks. But thats fair for ANY retinol products in general. Overall, Im satisfied with the first results - my skintone looks more even after just a 2 weeks.

I’ve been using retinols/retinals for many years. Serums, creams, eye creams - I’ve tried them all. I didn’t think a new retinol serum could surprise me, but the Cosrx 0.5 Retinol Oil exceeded my expectations because of its lovely smooth texture. This serum just glides on my dry skin and absorbs like a dream. Since I already have a high retinol tolerance I didn’t expect there to be any irritation and there wasn’t. I hope they come out with a higher percentage version. Would definitely purchase that! My only complaint is that the price is bit higher than other similar products.

After using 0.1% retinol for several months, I felt ready to try my retinol tolerance and see if it could take a higher percentage. However, unlike other retinol products I have tried, Cosrx uses PURE retinol and not just retinol derivatives which means it is stronger than most other retinol products you can find in the market. I had taken this into consideration prior but still decided to test this out, fully knowing the risk. Unfortunately, I was right to worry as this 0.5% pure retinol oil was definitely too strong for me and I felt a strong stinging sensation even though I only applied a small amount. It is also possible that I am a bit more sensitive to retinol than others as this 0.5% oil is also marketed to beginner users of retinol so there may be others who can tolerate this better than I can. For those who are sensitive, I’d recommend applying a very small amount using the sandwich method (moisturiser-retinol-moisturiser) and staggering your application to every 3 days.

I am a fan of COSRX product. I have tried almost all of their product, so i was excited when they released retinol. I've been using The Ordinary retinol for a while and i find it quite heavy and oily on my skin. So when i got hold of the COSRX retinol, the first thing i noticed was the smell, i didnt like it, though i find COSRX retinol better than The Ordinary. It absorbs faster, lighter and i could see the lines faded faster. Aside from the smell, i wish they could create a cream based that is .5 since i worked on night shift, i put retinol before going to work and i had put extra time to make sure it absorbs on my skin before i go out. All in all, the price is good, i see improvement in my skin and i would definitely buy this since this is better than the Ordinary retinol.

Recommend combining with The Retinol 0.1 Cream for the best result. A facial oil infused with 0.5% retinol to replenish your skin. I’m not a beginner when it comes to retinol, however my skin is only used to low percentage of retinol. Thank goodness this one suits my sensitive skin right off the bat. I paired this one with Klairs rich moist soothing cream and baaam! The combination made my morning skin looking soft and supple (tips I learnt from Soo Beauty). This is the first retinol I’ve ever used. I wanted to start using retinol and decided on this CosRX 0.5 retinol. Since its my first time incorporating retinol into my routine, I used it 1x per week and sandwiched it between a layer of Hada Labo HA lotion and CosRX Snail Mucin, retinol, and another layer of snail mucin and I’ve seen a huge difference. My chin acne reduced significantly, my forehead pimples disappeared, and my skin is alot more brighter. I definitely recommend this for beginners who want to start using retinol.

After attending the cosrx shopee live in my country fwe days ago, I've only came to realised that a beginner should use the cream before the oil. My review will be quite short as I had to stop using it after 2 times of us. The first time I used it, it did not sting nor irritate my skin but I did feel that my skin was more sensitive than usual the next day. I used it again the 2nd time around 3 days later and it did not feel right. Had to wash off everything. I gave a 3 star rating because I believe this is a good product but I was not fully prepared to use it to its full potential. All in all, I like how simple it is to apply this oil. It is not irritating, and it aids in the prevention of retinoid dryness. Anyway, I was concerned that it would be too greasy, but to my surprise, the oil absorbed into my skin and wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated. There was still oil present, but it was not greasy. This is the updated version of Cosrx retinol in a base of squalane. It's really good for beginners just getting into retinoids and quite gentle. The chubby bottle is also really cute and unique. The only downside is it needs to be stored in the fridge and sometimes that makes me forget to use it.

I want to include retinol product to my skincare routine and Im glad that Cosrx has this retinol product in oil form. I think it is best for sensitive and dry skin because the oil makes the retinol product is so much softer on the skin. It doesnt irrite sensitive dry skin like regular retinol products.
