I was using tretinoin for a while and wanted an efficient moisturizer that wouldn't feel too heavy on my oily skin nor would be too light to moisture the dryness from the treatment. This was an okay moisturizer; it has a gel consistency that does feel light on the skin, yet a bit too light to moisture the dryness of heavy treatments. I don't think it helped maintain the skin barrier as I didn't feel my skin to be dewy yet more on the dry, pale side. I would recommend this for anyone not using heavy, drying treatments who would want light moisturizer for everyday use.
