Purpose: I need a soothing toner that will not cause breakouts and can replace or upgrade my current ph balancing toner. It should moisturize my skin after I stripped it during the cleansing process, and would not make my skin tighten and itch. Use: After every facial cleanse, I'd use an aha/bha exfoliating toner then after a few minutes, apply one layer of the Anua toner. After, I start the moisturizing stage of my skincare routine. Verdict: 3Ms in, I haven't experienced the claims other reviewers mentioned. No changes to my skin texture, brightness, smoothness nor has it specifically helped prevent breakouts. No major differences to my oil production either. It does hydrate my skin plenty and does not cause any irritation. I enjoy using this product to water my skin. My acne is calm and itches less after applying. My skin likes to hold onto acne stubbornly but I'd like to think this helps push the healing process along. Would buy again only on sale.
