So I didn’t have much expectations for this one because it’s a new product and I haven’t heard much about it, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. First off, it does have a scent, as some of their products do tend to have, so if you’re sensitive to that, it may not be the best for you. However, while I am usually sensitive to products with scents, so far Mary & May’s products haven’t broken me out yet. The sunstick is a bit bigger than beauty of joseon but smaller than Abib. The product itself is a light purple, which can be a bit daunting at first, but the color doesn’t really show upon application. It applies smoothly and I think even brightened my skin a little bit. I received compliments saying I looked refreshed when I wear this.
This sun stick has a lightweight formula and glides easily on the skin. It takes a minute to blend-in but has a natural finish. I’d be careful on dark skin tones as it does have a slight white cast once fully absorbed.
I was skeptical of getting this sun stick but I’m so glad I did. I love that it has bakuchiol and peptides in it. It is a larger sun stick than Beauty of Joseon and I love the packaging. It glides on the skin smoothly and leaves a semi matte finish. It has a light floral scent too. It feels so luxurious. I would 100% repurchase this again. No complaints!
I’m really fond of this sun stick, it even made my interest grow into trying out other products in the Mary & May Peptide Bakuchiol line. This sun stick has a very faint sweet berry scent. When applauding this sun stick it easily glided in my skin and didn’t leave any noticeable white cast, despite being a semi-matte sun stick. I really like the fact it doesn’t sit heavy on my dermis. I haven’t noticed any change in my skin’s shade or irritation/sensitivity on my skin despite spending more hours under the sun now days, so that to me is an indication it’s doing a great job! Also, the reapplication of the sun stick on my skin doesn’t cause any pilling, which I’ve seen other popular sun sticks do.
What I like:
- glowy finish
- moisturising
- goes well on top of makeup
- easy twist packaging that is more convenient than the boj rotating one
What I dislike:
- I feel like it sits on my skin and needs to be rubbed in and then set with a setting powder
- balls of the product rolls off my skin
This is really good sunstick it's not mattifying like the boj one but doesn't leave your skin oily. It's good for sensitive skin and it's also lightweight.
1st time trying out Vegan Peptide Bakuchiol Sun Stick by Mary & May. Love the mechanism of the product which is able to give decent amount upon applying. Easy to use. When apply on face, there is a hint of scent which is nice & not too overpowering. Product feels a little oily when used under a mask. Required to reapply again after 2hrs so that face wont feel oily. Have not try it yet over make up. Cool product mechanism which follow the trend nowdays. Will definitely recommend!!!:)
This sun stick is easy to reapply, best for dry skin because it contains oil that helps to moisturize the skin, not sticky, not heavy on my face. For the smell is acceptable.
So, i've been eyeing this for a while because of the ingredients, and now got the chance to try it. The packaging looks pretty, easy to roll up, easy to apply, have a good scent. The cons are after a while it feels kinda greasy and stuffy, i will try again later, idk if i can wear this for a long time
Where I live it is still not very hot, but the times I have used them I have felt that my face is not greasy like when I have used other sunscreens, it is super light that when I put it on it seemed that I am not wearing anything, but so far it has delighted.. I will have to wait to see how it works when summer arrives and the days are very sunny
(R.S.G) If you prefer physical sunscreen, don’t buy this.
nice fragrance BUT had to wash it off my face after 2 hours because it started to make me nauseous and really made my eyes sting. I do have super sensitive eyes and it wasn’t the worst product in this regard i have tried. silky finish but will leave a residue on your hands when you touch your face. doesn’t look oily at all. also i prefer physical sunscreen because chemical ones always uncomfortably heat up my skin, this product did. this very badly.
This sunstick has a pronounced fresh scent. It glides on to skin well and leaves a dewy finish. I find that that it does clump up or collect in skin folds, like the neck, which isn't so nice.
R.S.G [Mary&May- Vegan Peptide Bakuchiol Sun Stick SPF50+, PA++++]
10.000 ppm Bakuchiol, tocopherol, 25 types of peptides. It is lightweight but a little less than BOJ. It has a floral scent, that is not bothersome and a lovely purple color. Gives a matte finish but BOJ is slightly matter. This feels richer and more nourishing for my dry skin. Overall very nice as well 5/5.
A peptide bakuchiol sun stick? That sounds so cool!
Combination of alternative retinol - bakuchiol, 25 peptides and tocopherol, this sun stick does more than just protecting skin from the sun. It contains anti-aging properties to repair skin damage, regenerate the collagen to gain back the skin’s youth and prevent further aging.
The packaging is so pretty, thin and slim, can fit right in small shoulder bag or even pockets. Shocked to the one-touch 3**60**° rotating, make reapplication even faster and easier. The sun stick glides smoothly on skin, no rough friction while applying - leaves full UV-protecting layer but non-sticky and non-greasy, just a light floral scent.
I love the ease and the comfort of a sunscreen in stick form. Super easy to use without the mess of a cream or lotion. Compact enough to toss in your purse or bag. Has a powdery texture when applied leaving you with a silky, matte finish. Love that it's non-greasy and helps control no shine. My skin feels soft, soothed, and moisturized. Has a pretty lavender colour to the stick but goes on clear and a lovely scent of spring time freshness, plus contains the ingredient Bakuchiol extract to help prevent wrinkles.
I was excited to try this sun stick. It has 25 different types of peptides for collagen regeneration, including Hexapeptide-2 for brightening, 1% Bakuchiol helps repair skin damage and tocopherol provides wrinkle protection. The soft silky texture is infused with powder to absorb sebum & oil, & is a pretty purple shade. It just glides on skin, leaving it with a natural finish & no white cast. I liked how the slim shape makes it easy to apply all over the face, even around the nose & eyes, & small enough to carry around. There is no sticky feel and I recommend for all skin types.
The scent is a bit off putting but it doesn’t irritate. It has a silky/balmy texture but upon application but doesn’t have an oily finish. It would probably suit dry skin types more. It is just ok. This would not be my go to sunstick.
I LOVE this sunstick! It did an awesome job of giving my skin a matte appearance, which is great for us oily gals. It smells amazing, with a light, clean scent. It blended really well and didn't leave any cast. The only downside is it is expensive, but this is the best sunstick I've tried and I will probably be repurchasing when I run out.
It's easy to use, adds matte finish on skin which lasts quite long (although i didn't have an opportunity to test it in hot and sunny weather). Skin feels very smooth after use, too.
tl;dr:
- No white cast
- Did not further dry my extra dry skin
- Leaves silky feeling on skin
- Blurred pores = works great as a primer
- Very convenient for travel
---- I quite like this sunstick. I have very dry skin, and the sunsticks I've tried usually make my skin a bit more lackluster. This didn't happen with this stick. I usually have around 7 steps of skin care before I apply my make up, my base is a tinted hydrator/cream as I find I don't need much more coverage, and most foundations dry my skin a bit more. But due to the intensive skin care layering I do, sometimes with the tinter hydrator, I do get a bit of oil/shine on my nose. That was not a problem with this sunstick. I even found that it blurred my pores a bit, so it felt great as a primer. I also have a medium skin tone, and there was no white cast. And it's very convenient.
